@libelle is celebrating her 85th (!!) birthday! Which is celebrated with an extra weighty issue, including beautiful interviews, stories, photography and an extensive horoscope for the next five years. I got the honour of illustrating both the cover and the horoscope :D Yesterday their birthday as well as the new issue of the magazine was celebrated with the cutest kick off. The cover was revealed, there was an actual cake made to look like the cake I designed for the cover, @jana_kaminski_ made an animation using the cake I crafted, and social media went loco, including insta story gifs created for the occasion. Libelle invited a few prominent guests to talk about womanhood in the Netherlands now and over the past 85 years. Interesting food for thought! I was most pleased to hear what Carla Wijers (director at @vrouwenvannu ) had to say about it, grabbing her chance to talk about sex first. And emphasise how important it is to focus more on our talents and capabilities instead of only on the virtues we, as women, are traditionally valued for. Thank you @libelle and especially @susandebruijn12 for the opportunity and the invitation. I enjoyed the celebration yesterday as wel as making the 14 festive and more elaborate illustrations.
