Oh, standing splits. How I dislike you. But, I was pretty surprised by how deep I was able to get into it the other day. Especially since I rarely ever practice it. It’s super intense on the hamstrings, and mine are pretty sensitive. It’s also a lot of work to keep that back leg up straight haha! .
Today is Day 2 of #DatAssana is standing splits! I’ve been loving your high lunges! Can’t wait for more .

Tomorrow this new class starts: A 60min dynamic, challenging and fun vinyasa class where the sequence of yoga poses are connected through a repeated flow of movements. These elements from the sun salute are practised with support of your breath in the warm room at 38°C.
From July on we offer a 07:30 hot classic silent class on Fridays. We need 8 students minimum to register 24h advance or the class will be cancelled. The new summer schedule will be put out in the studios very soon ...

As Shakira says, hips don’t lie. The hips tell the story of modern industrialized life that requires sitting at a 90-degree angle. As a result, the health of body suffers. Specifically, spine health is impaired and back pain increases.
Compared to standing, sitting leads to 40-90% more stress on the back and a flattening of the lumbar (lower) region of the spine.
Malasana helps ease the hips open and increase mobility in the hips, legs, and back.
