We had a great time hanging out with the High School & Middle School photography students at Northwestern. We demonstrated gelled off- camera flash, and this is one of the finished images we created. This is me, the face behind the screen. I don’t often introduce myself mostly because I’m kind of afraid to. It’s super intimidating putting yourself out there for the world to view and judge. But this is 2019 and one of my biggest goals is to let you guys in, to be completely transparent. . . So, hi! I’m Amanda! I’m the gal that drinks too much coffee and owns a ton house plants (21 and counting)! I’m an introvert and truly enjoy spending most of my time alone. I have books, that’s all you really need, right? I’m entirely addicted to nag champa incense and my home always smells of this and patchouli. My dream in life is to live in a cozy country cottage with an abundant garden and some chickens. . . Some of my 2019 goals are to live a more slow and sustainable life. Many of you aren’t aware but my household is as zero waste as it possibly can be. I don’t use paper towels, plastic bags and compost everything I can. I think it’s really important to live this way and I’m more than happy to share more about this subject if y’all are interested! I’ve also signed up for courses with The Herbal Academy to begin the journey to become an herbalist! I already create tinctures and serums for my close friends and family but I’d like to gain more knowledge in this subject to be able to share these things with more individuals. As far as my business, I’d like to be more social with you all, even though it’s seriously a struggle for us introverts. I’d also like to stand out and not just feel comfortable in the shadows. I’m not sure how I’ll make this happen but I will, just you wait. . . I’m completely grateful for each and every one of you and your constant love and support. THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!! I’m almost over being sick AND I have finally caught up on editing my sessions (though after tomorrow I’ll be back to trying to keep up with everything again)! I think it’s important to spend time surrounded by art every once in awhile. I love seeing others work, others thought process and personality/style.
