One of my favorite people to have met and talked to in Aklavik was Jessi Pascal. We met the day before I left, when she was coming back from boating. Here she is photographed in her family’s home on Pascal RD.

Danny, Marcus, John and Donald in Kaktovik, Alaska. When I arrived in Kaktovik last month, we had to wait four days for the ice to move back from the shore line, to begin our trip to Aklavik, Canada. Those extra days in Kaktovik gave me plenty of time to walk around town and make photos. I made the photo of these boys the second night I was in Kaktovik probably around 10pm. But, at the time I was there, the sun never set.

After about six days in Aklavik, we packed up the boat and said our goodbyes. See link in Bio. #ilatka
