::A woman and her (Pelican) bones:: We landed. Wings heavy and tired, I carried the three of us across thrashing seas, against currents of sadness. We left 2018 behind. I carried 16 boxes of bones up the stairs to our lookout. Our new nest sits not looking back at our beloved ocean, but nestled high up among the gums, deep in the hives. The smell of productivity and sweetness is strong here. I lay down in the Writing Room, folded my wings across my chest and prepared to grieve. But every day the wind rushes down the sloping blue hills and blows the heartache away. I lost my lover, a dear friend and a baby last year, and in the end not even the home I had so lovingly built could not hold the surging wall of grief banking up behind me. I found a Pelican in our last month there, buried in the sand, and I knew it was time to dig. We took flight. Filled with a strength beyond me that I no longer felt I had, the currents lifted us up towards the Sun. I remembered to trust and stop asking why a warrior must sometimes be forged in fire. Shit, I guess that’s just the weave in my tapestry. We will always be reborn to fly again. So here we are. Singing over the bones. I pass them through the hot smoke, wash them the way I know how. Things will take a turn this year. We’re facing East now, not West. My new nest has a Writing room, so I hear that’s what I’m called to do. I’ll be funnelling all my magic and learning into a little book I’ve been writing for the last few years. Studying acupuncture and raising youngbloods and seedlings and new dreams to fruition. Meditating upon sweetness and dancing in and out of the hive. Getting acquainted with the bats that swoop around our house every night. My work with the bones will continue… in a different spectrum. I’ll be making the transition to solely ceremonial crafting now. This work goes beyond jewellery, this is my apothecary. So perhaps you’ll see even less of me this year; after all, this work is seasonal, and when it rains, it pours. I’ll be working on this Pelican batch, riding high up on salty currents if you need to find me. See you soon, perhaps. Imee x

Wow I’m blown away, all pieces have found new homes! I stepped away for a second and then came back and everything was gone. I can not thank you enough for your support So that does mean there was nothing new to list for the official release time at noon. But I will have new works again in a couple weeks, and you can sign up for the mailing list to receive early release info for future updates. .
