We’ve been having the most amazing time exploring the temples in Angkor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Despite some of the temples (like this one - the iconic Angkor Wat) being an absolute zoo at times, we’ve also managed to find some moments of tranquility and had a few of the temples to ourselves through strategic planning! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s hard to truly comprehend the age of these temples, this one being over 900 years old, or what life must’ve been like here then! Does anyone else find themselves running away with their imagination in old places?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you to @koh.life for getting us here!

Let’s play a game of spot the difference... it’s a pretty easy one ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What do you think of scenes being modified or improved with photoshop? I personally see it as art and therefore don’t have a problem with it, except when it’s portrayed as reality as I feel that’s when it sets unrealistic expectations for others. I try to keep my images mostly true to how they were, or I’ll tell you if they’re not! I think honesty is what’s important.

With planning, both the crowds and heat are avoidable, and there is a fantastic collision of natural and man made history that appeals to me on so many levels. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While I may not have the spiritual or historical connection to these ancient temples that other visitors come with, I have been amazed at the opportunities they have provided for some creative photography. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those interested, Sophie and I will be writing some blogs in the next week to help answer any questions you guys may have! We decided to give ourselves 3 days to get a good sunrise at the world icon Angkor Wat Temple... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We only needed one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Though this place is a zoo by 5:30am, the great thing about shooting at the water is that no one can get in front of you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was taken yesterday and is a great shot to showcase the amazing time we're having here in Cambodia :) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #weownthemoment

Cambodia: hazy light and warm chaos. . I got to be the lucky +1 on a trip to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh at the beginning of this year, all thanks to @tom.shu for winning the @passionpassport #PPExpediaYellow challenge with @expedia! . Not gonna lie, it felt pretty nice not having to be the one constantly producing content & even having our own photographer/videographer join us on our adventure! Of course, I still wanted to capture the beauty of this country, so many more photos from our trip here will be coming up! .
