I put everything away and just got still. . I listened. I praised. I worshiped. . I just let myself be completely filled with God’s presence. . I needed that. And I don’t do it nearly enough. Sometimes I just need to stop and soak him in: his love, his mercy, his sovereignty, his grace, his greatness. . It’s overwhelming. . Do you ever do that? Do ever just let yourself be still and know that he is God? Give it a try. Create a quiet space, invite him into it, and let yourself just experience his presence. . Just be still. . . This verse really caught my attention. In the hustle bustle of my every day life, do I take time to truly be still before the Lord and treasure that quiet time with Him?⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Yes, I read my Bible every day, but I think there's a difference between achieving our scripture reading goals and setting aside time to just be quiet before the Lord and wait on Him to reveal Himself.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ It's so easy to get caught up in everything that needs to be done and all the cares and worries of life. If you haven’t already, I strongly encourage you to read 2 Chronicles chapter 20, just to get a glimpse of what we’re discussing today.⁣ ⁣ Basically, the Ammonites, Moabites and the people of Mount Seir were coming to wage war against the people of Jerusalem and Judah.⁣ ⁣ Jehoshaphat immediately turned to God.⁣ ⁣ After going to God in prayer, God instructed Him to take his position and STAND STILL. He let Jehoshaphat know that THIS is not his fight, but God’s and He will take care of it.⁣ ⁣ And our AWESOME God did just THAT!⁣ ⁣ Jehosophat did as God told him to do and God took care of the rest. ⁣ ⁣ Jehosophat appointed men to go ahead of his army and just sing and praise God.⁣ ⁣ What happened next was astonishing! Ambushes were sent by God to attack those enemy tribes, the Moabites, the Ammonites, and the people of Mount Seir.⁣ Then the Moabites and Ammonites rose up against Mount Seir. After they were done with the army of Mount Seir, the Ammonites and Moabites started to war against each other.⁣ ⁣ God took care of it ALL! Jehosophat only needed to do what God asked him to do, which was to STAND STILL!⁣ ⁣ How crazy did that seem?!
