As you may know, I was supposed to run last year, instead my concussion made me bed-bound for most of the summer... However, after an intensive 28-day light and vestibular therapy, the doctors allowed me to still travel to San Francisco and meet my amazing 2018 teammate(s). Vilma was the first I met, just before boarding our flight West from Lexington! Hoping my 2019 teammates are just as cool as this gal from Kentucky ⠀ ⠀ ‼️This B&W picture is the end of my 52-week long Black & White series to spell the words “4K for Cancer” in my feed and create awareness for cancer: a "black disease" destroying our colorful feed (read: life). In honor of my Godmother -I donated a pound of blood today for the first time eva. Today is my Nina’s birthday fuck she should’ve been 40 but God had bigger plans for her. She suffered from a rare blood disease called Blackfan Diamond Anemia. It is a blood disease where her white blood cells would attack her red blood cells. Which in this case she needed several blood transfusions. I’ve been so thankful for those who have donated blood & because of them she was able to have more time with us.
