Surround yourself with people who get you, who never take advantage, who build you up and appreciate your perspective on life. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by friends who are also neighbors, people who show up daily and don’t blink at the messy house (or muddy yard or lack of deck furniture) to celebrate the one warm day we’ve had in ages. I love the noise. I love the chaos of 1,176 children in our back yard and their parents who I love dearly. Spring is right around the corner now!

I don't want to be cotton between a rock and a hard place so I'm thrifting for my spring wardrobe now. Waist not, want not, so of corset would be all secondhand shopping, just I'm trying to do my part to create less waste. I find if I start looking for the next season a bit before it actually rolls in, then I won't be left without a stitch to wear since thrifting for specific pieces can take a bit of hunting. I'm currently looking for wide leg khaki pants, track pants a la @bjonesstyle, mesh handle bags inspired by @lisasaysgah, ☀️a straw visor (visors are back baby), beaded bags, and strappy sandals. I had a little bit of success on my first spring thrifting trip yesterday, thrift haul and inspiration in my stories or highlights. I found two awesome pairs of sandals since it was the first day spring shoes were out at my thrift store (they hoard all the spring shoes so they can have a 'shoe event' when they put out the new season's shoes). ✨Sew it begins, a new season to hunt for and I couldn't be more excited.
