My favorite vacation ‘fit so far! Our Cardiff jacket in oatmeal linen paired with our Cruz top in eggshell raw silk. I’m traveling for the week and packing extra light, it’s so much easier to do when I plan in advance and bring pieces like these that can mix and match with pretty much anything. I also tried on each outfit beforehand to make sure I liked it, have you ever thought a look would be cute only for it to be completely wrong? The worst! Fortunately this outfit is a total winner for me

Anyone else ever scroll through here and wonder, "how is everyone affording these clothes? Are they gifted? Which ones did they purchase themselves? Maybe they just have a much higher income?" . Those were questions I asked all the time when I started my commitment to wearing my old clothes until they were done, and only purchasing secondhand or consciously made. . I didn't realize how much that journey would accelerate as I connected with brands and the founders behind them. And then all the sudden I thought: there's no way I'd be at this point in my conscious clothing journey if it weren't for my partnerships. I'm so grateful for all of them (especially @tradlands @aliceandwhittles @brassclothing and @kotn - thank you for believing in what I do!) . But ultimately, when I reflected on where my closet is today, I realized - even with me only accepting gifted product that filled holes or that I actually LOVED - it still would have taken me about 4 years to afford it on my own. 4 YEARS. . I wanted to share this because I think it's important for us to chat about these things honestly and have no illusions. Partnerships and gifting can seem so awkward, but let's get into it! . I struggled with my bills as a single person, which was part of the reason I started accepting partnerships (only ones my values align with). And gifted items mean I'm spending less on clothes, and more on my bills. Only now, I don't have time between this and work to support all the brands I love so I'm figuring out how to balance it all! . What have you ever wondered about partnerships? Let's chat about it!

INTRODUCING LOIS HAZEL'S RISE COLLECTION ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We asked Lois to tell us about the people who make LH, she said "I am so lucky to work with so many incredible, talented and wonderful people on a day to day basis. Recently I have started working with CGT, a family run factory that are based around the corner from my studio[in Brunswick Melbourne]. These guys help make my bigger runs of around 40 - 50 units, they cut, make and trim every pieces and deliver it beautifully ironed and pressed to my studio. I also work with Thi, an incredibly talented seamstress, who sews for a number of local brands. She works out of her studio in Braybrook and helps me sew up my medium runs of around 20 - 40 units. I also still make a few of our styles in house, as we are still growing sometimes I am unable to meet factory minimums so I turn to my trusty machine and whip them up here with the help of my incredible interns". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can shop the Lois Hazel Rise Collection now on eco.mono.com.au
