Rainy day surprise screening of #TheLegoMovie2 yesteeday with the family (not pictured: the elusive teenager) and it was totally worth the braving the downpour! We ALL laughed & our @lego obsessed Baby Ninja was so excited to see the story continue! I'm always impressed by the skill & creativity involved in creating these movies - it's wild what they are able to do with the same bricks that are scattered around my house! It was pretty awesome. We FINALLY got to go to Umami burger afterwards (all the ) and got soaked in the process but again, totally worth it. Normally if it's pouring, we're not going too far because California drivers + rain = no bueno but it we're always down for an adventure and that it was. My guys. They got up at an unholy hour yesterday and went on a dad/kid fishing trip with the homies. Baby Ninja was SO EXCITED he talked the whole way there. At 5am. Bless. They had donuts & junk for breakfast, ran around the lake got dirty and had a good time. So happy he has a dad who's down for these types of shenanigans cuz mama is not about that life. Oh and he caught "3 large healthy fish" so he's on cloud nine over here. He still didn't want to eat any tho but he was happy to touch them! What did y'all do yesterday?

Nine years ago yesterday this man asked me a question. I answered, runny nose and all. A year later we jumped a broom and now we are old & married.
