When we understand— God’s Word isn’t suppose to make us feel ‘happy’ all the time is when we truly experience God’s full power in our lives. God’s word is meant to make our lives more abundant, YES! It’s suppose to mold us exactly into the person we’re meant to be, to live the life worthy of His calling. That happens only when we fully submit to God— fully submitting to God means submitting to His truth— which is His Word because He said so. If it’s not God’s way, it’s the world’s way— which is always the wrong way. Understand this time is upon us, don’t let you or anyone you truly care about fall into the fruitless trap that produces a fruitless life. ⬇️ __________________________ “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. The Scriptures are not saying that we come to know God by obeying His commands. Faith is not about trusting in our performance. True faith begins by trusting in the perfect obedience and sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf. But the Scriptures do tell us that a genuine faith in Jesus will be manifested through a life spent in the pursuit of obedience. A true follower of Jesus is a person who carefully guards his or her life according to the life and teachings of Jesus. It is someone who is simply seeking to “walk just as he walked” (1 John 2:6). Prayer: Jesus, thank you for your perfect obedience, including the sacrifice you made for me on the Cross. To love you means to keep your commands. Show me today the places in my life today where I am missing the mark. Give me the strength I need to walk just as you walked. Amen.

No matter how uncertain your path may look now, God has a plan for your life that goes far beyond anything you could imagine.

Secara tradisi, Gereja Katolik mendedikasikan bulan- bulan tertentu untuk devosi tertentu. Bulan Mei yang sering dikaitkan dengan permulaan kehidupan, karena pada bulan Mei di negara- negara empat musim mengalami musim semi atau musim kembang. Maka bulan ini dihubungkan dengan Bunda Maria, yang menjadi Hawa yang Baru. Hawa sendiri artinya adalah ibu dari semua yang hidup, “mother of all the living” (Kej 3:20). Devosi mengkhususkan bulan Mei sebagai bulan Maria diperkenalkan sejak akhir abad ke 13. Namun praktek ini baru menjadi populer di kalangan para Jesuit di Roma pada sekitar tahun 1700-an, dan baru kemudian menyebar ke seluruh Gereja. Pada tahun 1809, Paus Pius VII ditangkap oleh para serdadu Napoleon, dan dipenjara. Di dalam penjara, Paus memohon dukungan doa Bunda Maria, agar ia dapat dibebaskan dari penjara. Paus berjanji bahwa jika ia dibebaskan, maka ia akan mendedikasikan perayaan untuk menghormati Bunda Maria. Lima tahun kemudian, pada tanggal 24 Mei, Bapa Paus dibebaskan, dan ia dapat kembali ke Roma. Tahun berikutnya ia mengumumkan hari perayaan Bunda Maria, Penolong umat Kristen. Demikianlah devosi kepada Bunda Maria semakin dikenal, dan ketika Paus Pius IX mengumumkan dogma “Immaculate Conception/ Bunda Maria yang dikandung tidak bernoda” pada tahun 1854, devosi bulan Mei sebagai bulan Maria telah dikenal oleh Gereja universal. Paus Paulus VI dalam surat ensikliknya, the Month of Mary mengatakan, “Bulan Mei adalah bulan di mana devosi umat beriman didedikasikan kepada Bunda Maria yang terberkati,” dan bulan Mei adalah kesempatan untuk “penghormatan iman dan kasih yang diberikan oleh umat Katolik di setiap bagian dunia kepada Sang Ratu Surga. Sepanjang bulan ini, umat Kristen, baik di gereja maupun secara pribadi di rumah, mempersembahkan penghormatan dan doa dengan penuh kasih kepada Maria dari hati mereka.
