✨Hair appointment desperately overdue (day 3 hair)✨ . After learning about curl by curl cuts I can really see how much my hair needs one!! I’m due a trim in just over 3 weeks. My next hair appointment after that will hopefully be in December with a #curlbycurlcut specialist ✂️ . I’ve been officially following this method for 5 months, and let me tell you, The cg method works . The first row is from Summer-Fall of 2018 pre-cg method. I hadn’t applied heat regularly in years, but I was still using harsh products and brushing my hair dry. The rest of the photos show my progression with #thecurlygirlmethod

The curls are wild today ➿but I love them! When I had my hair cut a week ago I had my hair straightened, and it’s taking a while for the curl to come back to its fullest, but today it’s definitely got the volume back! I felt so weird when it was straightened and so flat against my face, yes it was sleek, but I felt like so much of the vibrancy and bounce that I love wasn’t there. It’s natural all the way for me! Fun Fact: my first love was the Minnesota Twins, followed closely by basketball. ⚾️ 5th grade Lindsay was OB-freaking-sessed. I watched every single game. If I was going to miss it, I recorded it on VHS and/or listened to it on the radio. At one point, I even took official stats while watching games. Instead of having my walls covered with boy bands (which I also liked), I had MN twins newspaper clippings covering it. 2000-2005, if you asked me any question about the team... I GUARANTEE I could answer them. ‍♀️ I don't follow them to the extent that I used to, but I am pretty stinking proud of them currently having the 2nd best record in the majors. . . Day two hair without a refresh... just a really really big fluff at the roots! Used the @sheamoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine shampoo and conditioner yesterday and then the Smoothie and @bouncecurl gel - I still find the Shine set to be too heavy, as I know the curls will sink throughout the day... but thankful that the moisture in the curls made day 2 SO easy! Very loose waves on the left, tighter waves on the right. ➰➰➰ . I have a mostly 2C curl pattern, as far as I can tell.To me, this means my hair is pretty versatile, so I can wear it “straight” or “curly," depending on what I’m feeling that day. Don't get me wrong; Most days, I'm feeling the as-curly-as-possible aesthetic and LOVE rocking my waves, but 30%of the time? I like to switch it up. . The best part of this is that I don’t even have to apply heat to rock a straighter look. I skip out on scrunching and product application, comb it while it’s wet and voilà! . ( Although if I wanted to apply heat to it every once in a while, I would, since it's my hair! The CG method rocks, and you should follow all rules for the best results, but it's YOUR hair at the end of the day.) . . . I've been mostly heat-free for 2.5 years. That paired with the CG method in the last few months has made my hair healthier than EVER. I've never had long and healthy hair at the same time before, so sometimes I just wanna rock that length, ya know
