Apart from being made of natural fibers (the point being that they will eventually biodegrade), they are mostly hand made. The company hires visually impaired brush makers --an incentive that used to be subsidized by the Swedish government. The subsidies stopped in 2002, but Iris Hantverk decided to continue to hire visually impaired workers despite the lack of funding. What is one thing you absolutely can’t survive the work day without? Today’s grocery haul was a good one! (I say that about all of them honestly) - WHAT I GOT: • cucumbers • mushrooms • white onion • broccoli • limes • peaches • pecan halves • apples • brussels sprouts • chickpeas • chocolate covered snacks • raisins • asparagus • tofu • kombucha • multi-grain bread *** I finally found a plastic free option for bread and I’m SO happy about it!! I can just take my own bread bag/linen to the grocery store and they’re more than happy to wrap it in that! - Also got some eggs, drinks and other goodies that didn’t fit here! - On the menu this weekend: Tofu + chickpea coconut curry
