Anyone who has breastfed will know the emotions of the last ever breastfeed . I honestly didn't think I would make it past 3 weeks, but here we are at 22 weeks for Líle's last feed ❤️. As much as I would love to continue for months still, I have to do what's best for Líle and with all her allergies, formula is just the best option, I can't physically cut out anymore than dairy, soya and egg. As we sit in our spot, where we spent hundreds of hours and shared many tears and cuddles, I will cherish this wee bond we had for 22 weeks and as hard as it was, it was worth every minute, to see our gorgeous girl thriving. I'd say it's one of my biggest achievements and I'll forever be proud of providing for our wee miracle baby. If anyone ever has any questions about breastfeeding, never be afraid to dm me! S N U G G L E S I’ve finally cracked how to get Raven down and sleeping independently of me during the day...but now I don’t want to! Now she is so much better with my #dairyfree and #soyafree diet holding her while she sleeps is a pleasure rather than a necessity. It’s amazing the difference it makes when you don’t absolutely HAVE to hold them. I could put her down, sort out the washing, dry my hair...but I’m quite happy with her in my arms watching a morning movie!! I’m staring to really understand when they all say to enjoy moments as they don’t last forever. It makes me sad we’ve gotten to her being 8.5 weeks old for me to really understand all this, and makes me realise how difficult things really were for us and for her. It’s heartbreaking, but I’m so glad I persevered and didn’t listen to all the people saying “babies do cry you know Georgie” and “it’s colic, it’ll pass”. We’re happier and better In other news I decided to change things up a bit - I love love love her blue @beeboobuzz long sleeve bodysuit, just because she’s a girl doesn’t mean she can’t wear blue - it’s my favourite colour and this almost exact shade is my go-to!! C H A N G I N G S O F A S T 10 weeks old vs 10 days old! Raven has changed a huge amount in those weeks, and actually - so have I! Mainly because I’m not only 10 days post giving birth in the latest one, the sun is shining and Raven is thriving and so much happier with my #DF and #SF diet (which seems to have helped with the #postnatal weight shifting along with #breastfeeding). Look at those #chubbycheeks!! I’m so excited for Spring, Summer and warmer days ahead - with all the beautiful clothes we have ready for her, and just to feel some warmth on our faces! We have a lovely big garden for Raven to play in and just ordered a @babymoov_uk tent for her so she’s safe from #UV rays ☀️. As you can see, I’m also still obsessed with my @anthropologieeu headbands 10 weeks on! I’d always read how Mum’s get really good at doing things quickly - showering, dressing, eating...and wow is that real - I eat so fast now, and have found many things in my wardrobe that are so easy to just “chuck on” - I’m figuring out my #mumstyle one day at a time! Strangely, I couldn’t find this in our set of mile stone cards So H is going through his 7th development leap according to #thewonderweeks and his latest skill, which he seems to be a natural at.. is throwing down a right diva tantrum!! Anyone else obsessed with @thewonderweeks app? Don’t get me wrong H has cried many a time in public but this was the first time he had a full blown “I’m letting everyone know I’m unhappy because I’ve not got what I want” type of episode. Picture the scene ... a lovely sing and sign session, babies enjoying playing with a selection of shakers (obvs Hs was in his mouth being chewed) time comes for said shakers to go away and H crawls around the room after the box that is taking the precious shakers away. As soon as the box of magical shakers is lifted out of reach H throws himself to the floor, wails and thrashes his feet about . I must admit it caught me by surprised as H is usually quite subdued at baby groups, so this was definitely a new experience! I swiftly scooped him up and dangled another toy over him to distract him ... Anyone got any good tantrum tips? Another terrible night for me and this little face. I do bloody love him though ————————————————————————- After talking to a third doctor and seeing a fourth yesterday they’ve diagnosed Theo with reflux and prescribed him Ranitidine, we’ve also been referred to a paediatrician. I had 2.5 hours sleep last night (not all in one go) and only half an hour of that was before 3.15am. I’m hoping the medicine kicks in quickly, it’s awful to see him so unhappy.
