Here are two frames from a recent passion project I created. I wanted to make a video that not only talks about lighting techniques but also shows you step by step how to create a scene. I found that there’s hundreds of videos online about cinematography but very little that SHOW you the process of creating that specific LOOK or EFFECT you’re going for. I felt so discourage when I first started out because I could only find videos EXPLAINING lighting techniques but NOT showing them and I found that to be a major flaw in the learning process. I wanted to make my videos more cinematic but had no idea HOW. It’s vital to get hands-on experience or to see it in “real time” if you will. I hope that this Cinematic Lighting Techniques Series (releasing 1 episode every Friday) does big things to help YOU take your skills to the next level. Lighting has seriously changed the game for me and my ability to leverage my skillset as a filmmaker and DP. Let’s change the game for you too.
