My sweet little guided journal. I illustrated the whole book back when I lived in the icy tundra of Chicago. ❄️ These days my life is a little more summery, and I’ve been bringing it with me as I travel (mostly it has become a recipe book, whenever I taste something truly spectacular or create a recipe I’m super proud of.) Hi again, @studio80design back to share a new weekly calendar spread in my dot grid notebook using the @tombowusa Irojiten Colored Pencils! Have you ever cut out a page in your notebook It’s a great way to add extra space to your layout! . The first thing I did was use my pencil to sketch out calendar area. Then I used my scissors to cut the middle page down to fit the boxes for the days of the week, revealing the outside border. I used the Irojiten Colored Pencils to add color to this weekly layout. I used a maroon colored pencil to outline the days of the week boxes on all sides (there were 8 boxes total). Then I drew a border of hydrangeas around the page. The Irojiten Colored Pencils are a dream to work with! Not only are they absolutely beautiful, but they glide so smooth on paper! They come in so many beautiful color palettes, so choosing colors that go together is a breeze! . Hi, Jessica from @BrownPaperBunny here again to show you how to start your watermelon planner layout! Start by dividing your spread into eight rectangles and adding Dual Brush Pen 853 (Persimmon) across the top of the first seven (for the days of the week). Draw little slices or halves of watermelon in a few of the corners and add some additional seeds with your MONO Drawing Pen. - ah it’s 10am here in Brisbane on Fri 15 Mar and I’ve just managed to sit down to take a breath! Sitting down for a coffee and catching up on some planning. My Hobonichi Mega Weeks was destroyed in early March by a loose kombucha bottle lid in my bag that slowly wreaked its havoc across the course of a morning. Some of the pages were still legible so I ended up scanning them and uploading to Dropbox for posterity, otherwise the remaining pages of the planner were either dried shut or stained and wrinkled. Needless to say it was just amongst the many challenges I’ve had the last four weeks, so what was another one to add ‍♀️ luckily there were some sales on planners and diaries at the time, so I purchased a pocket Moleskine weekly planner with notes for forward and weekly task planning, and a Leuchtturm1917 pocket dot grid for daily planning. It’s actually been a godsend transferring to 0.5cm ruling on the pages from the cramped 0.38cm ruling of the Hobonichi and I’m getting less hand cramping - hooray for little wins! This was how I planned prior to my glory days of bullet journalling - a weekly planner with a blank notebook. I’ve adapted the bullet journal system into my current planning stack and I’m very comfortable with it right now — Have you had to modify your planning system so far this year? Were you forced to change or did you change because you just wanted to (trust me, I’ve been on that ride of the revolving door of planners hehe so no judgment here )?
