Ok ok I’ll stop it ⁣ ⁣ Let’s make the drink...⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 50ml 12 yr old Single Malt Scotch⁣ @thesingletonwhisky 25ml Orange Liqueur⁣ 10ml Canadian Maple Syrup⁣ A little squeeze of lemon and a little squeeze of orange.⁣ 2 dashes of Orange Bitters⁣ @angosturahouse Orange Egg white foam⁣ ⁣ Here I tried mixing it up a little differently. In the shaker add ice and all ingredients except egg white. In separate shaker add egg white white a squeeze of orange Shake this one to get the party started. Shake the other shaker to chill and dilute then fine strain into the egg mix. Shake a little more as all whisky lovers are joining the party ⁣ ⁣ Now strain into gorgeous glassware (yes I know self confessed glassware addict ‍♀️ - this is one of my favourites. Balvenie Castle, Dufftown The original castle was built in the second half of the 1200s, making it one of Scotland’s oldest stone castles. Balvenie was most likely built for Alexander Comyn, 2nd Earl of Buchan. The vast territory ruled over by the Comyns stretched from the Moray Firth to what is now Fort William. The Comyns were allied with John Balliol, who was deposed by Edward I of England in 1296. The dynasty lost power after arch-rival Robert I seized the throne in 1306. The castle is now uninhabited by people but bats and barn owls live here for part of the year. Dufftown is the „Whisky Capital of the World“. The closest distillery to the Castle is not Balvenie Distillery, the closest distillery is Glenfiddich Distillery.
