Happy Thursday! Seems like the weeks fly by in the summer. During the year it’s feels like an eternity by the time Wednesday rolls around, let alone Thursday. I guess the old adage is true, time flies when you’re having fun. Started the day with a trip to our local library to replenish our stock, then headed to the pool. ‍♀️ We ended up staying for 4.5 hrs! Two swimming sessions, with a light lunch in between. Lanes weren’t too busy so I managed to squeeze in 100 laps! My little one swam beside me for a good portion of them. Exercise for the day, ✔️! Thursday’s are the new Fridays so looking forward to chilling on the balcony this evening. Wine is already in the fridge. Shared a new favourite artist, and her gorgeous painting (mine now ! ) to my stories this am. Check her out and say hello to Rosie of @rosemarynewman.art! I’m completely zonked after all that swimming this afternoon. Came home and vegged for a while before forcing myself to get up and snap a pic before it got dark. Chose the playroom as it’s large west facing glass doors, get the most afternoon light. ☀️ Also turned the little cloud ☁️ lights on to add some brightness. A bit of summer cushion swapping happened in here too. You can also spy the developing art portion of this wall. It all started with this fun and colourful rainbow print from @tululuhq swipe ⬅️ for a close up. The perfect centerpiece to start building another gallery around. Have a small stack of art to add, but I’m still waiting on a few frames. The flower pot is something my youngest made at school out of recycled plastic bottles. ♻️ The colours work perfectly in many parts of our home. So I told her I’d incorporate it into one of my posts. ☺️ Hope you’re having a great one y’all! ❤️

Open shelving is awesome. I really do love it. But someone finally noticed that something was missing today...after a year. . Husband: do we have any tumblers? You know, like large ones. . Me: no. I gave them away when we remodeled the kitchen last year. . Husband: why? . Me: they weren’t aesthetically pleasing on our open shelves. But we have these pretty little glass ones. . Hub: . I got him new tumblers for the price of an eye roll today at @anthropologie. (Slide left for a view. They hold hot and cold beverages. Winning. Although he paid with an eye roll. I paid in cash) . HAPPY THURSDAY! Erm... so some may say I’m a lover of plants? Also when moving into my home I ripped out previous wardrobes which left me with zero storage space. I’ve taken out my desk and it’s been replaced with this stunning vintage wardrobe, that I found in a second hand furniture store for a bargain buy of £28!!!! Once the smell of old grannies has gone, it’ll be practically brand new?!‍♀️
