Power endurance is the ability to execute multiple explosive movements over a longer period of time. Many jiu jitsu athletes utilize wrestling strength and conditioning programs to supplement their sport training; however, the problem is that in jiu jitsu we utilize different energy systems. Since wrestling matches are only 3 minutes long the primary energy systems utilized are ATP-CP (0 to 10 sec i.e. explosive power) and Lactic Acid energy system (0 – 2 min i.e. anaerobic). In jiu jitsu our matches are often 6,7,8 or even 10 min long depending on your belt level, which means that the majority of our matches depend on aerobic capacity. Strength and Conditioning programs are supposed to optimize your body’s ability to cope with your sport’s particular demands. I’ve had a ton of people asking about energy healing, some asking if I’m still sane so I want to explain what energy healing is for me. Obviously people have their opinions on it and not everyone agrees...that’s totally ok! For me it’s more about experience and feeling rather than opinion. I’ve had so many amazing experiences I can’t deny how it’s helped my family and I. We are all on our own journey and learning what we need for our own benefit. Someone explained to me that just like we have a skeletal system, muscular system or a nervous system we also have an energetic system. I like to think of it as our spiritual system! Sometimes we get blocks and kinks in our energy system from trauma or negative situations. Something as simple as someone telling you you’re fat or not smart can cause blocks in our energy system which causes us to function differently from our true self. These blocks can manifest physically with pain in our body or emotional unbalances. I think western medicine is incredible but I don’t think they can get to the root of the problem. Energy healing for me is simply getting to the root of the problem, realizing that it isn’t truth and letting it go so it no longer holds you down. I’ve also heard it explained as vibrations! We’ve all walked into a room that’s felt super heavy and yucky, that’s slow or low vibrations. If you’ve grown up hearing you’re dumb or ugly and you eventually start believing those words, you are functioning on a slower vibration. With energy healing, you figure out what those slow vibrations are and get rid of them so you can be lighter and feel better! I’m all about those high vibrations who doesn’t want to feel light and free It also goes hand in hand with mindset! You start getting rid of those heavy things holding you back and you start believing in yourself. And the more you believe in yourself the less you depend on what others say. You stop caring what others think about you and start living for YOU! Then the happier and lighter you feel, the happier and lighter the people around you will feel. It’s actually pretty magical And that’s my quick version of energy healing

Easily one of the hardest @aerobiccapacity workouts i’ve done being the fact it was only upper body was pretty brutal I’m pretty sure this was either @laurahorvaht or @hosstremblay Brain child it was definitely a tough one to do but if you look at the video Laura is doing the same weight as Tremblay and myself. And @hinshaw363 has joined us for this miserable little torture. Los OTM (On The Minute) son trabajos intervalados muy utilizados en Crossfit, pero muy poca gente sabe para qué sirven.
El objetivo que tienen es entrenar a la persona en determinado sistema energético. Estos son tres:
✔ Sistema de fosfágenos (anaeróbico aláctico)
✔Sistema glucolítico (anaeróbico láctico)
✔ Sistema oxidativo (aeróbico)
El cuerpo humano obtiene energía a través de estos sistemas, los cuales permiten el movimiento.
Es importante saber que los tres conviven entre sí, pero con mayor o menor predominio. ⭕Incluimos dentro del primer sistema a aquellos esfuerzos físicos que van desde los 0 a los 10" aprox. Por ejemplo un salto en largo, un sprint corto, un lanzamiento. La intensidad que se maneja es muy alta.
⭕Incluimos dentro del segundo a aquellos esfuerzos físicos por encima de los 10" hasta casi 3' de trabajo. La intensidad sigue siendo alta, pero menor a la anterior. ⭕Incluimos dentro del último a aquellos esfuerzos físicos superiores a 3' en adelante. La intensidad es moderada. "Para lograr un nivel de fitness integral es importante entrenarse en los distintos tipos de sistemas"
Y para poder hacerlo de forma precisa lo que manda es la INTENSIDAD y la relación entre el TRABAJO y el DESCANSO.
Una forma sencilla para está relación puede ser: El primer sistema 1:3 (el triple de descanso de lo que llevó el trabajo). Para el segundo sistema 1:2, y para el último sistema 1:1.
Les dejo un entrenamiento intervalado que realice hoy, anaeróbico láctico, de esos que te hacen sentir un fuego horrible en las piernas más que nada OT3M x 10 (alternado estaciones)
A)15 cal bike 10 burpees Box jump over
B)15 cal row 50 du
Y como lo principal era la intensidad, busqué moverme rápido todo el tiempo, logrando así tener siempre 2' o más de pausa.
