I love this quote, and refer back to it regularly. Even if you cut one piece of single use plastic out this month, that is a win You don’t need to strive for perfection to make a difference. . . . Don’t know where to start? Well, why not start with the ‘big 5’ - plastic water bottles, take away coffee cups, straws, plastic bags and cutlery ✅ Food packaging is also a great place to start, but a difficult one to do completely plastic-free. ECO ANXIETY | It was a real pleasure to see so many faces at @restore.refill this evening. Something that seems to be coming up a lot is eco anxiety....⁣ ⁣ Every single day there’s new information disregarding things we deemed ‘good’ for the planet - avocados, canvas bags, conscious collections... to name a few. ⁣ ⁣ Meanwhile, we’re striving to make mindful change - big and small, yet so many of the big dogs at the top seem to give zero f*cks about the devastating impact they’re causing our planet. ⁣ ⁣ I think getting a little (emphasis on little) bogged down with eco anxiety is necessary because we need to feel outrage in order to ACT. But to dwell in those feelings? Simply a waste of your precious time (emphasis on precious). ⁣ Embrace your life. Make the necessary changes you can manage. Value what you already have. Put your pound to good use. Demand action from your workplaces, governments, and big corporations. Inspire those around you. Let this fear MOTIVATE you to make a change. ⁣ ⁣ I’d also like to take this opportunity to recommend the ‘outrage and optimism’ podcast by former UN chief and the people behind the Paris Agreement.
