Intrigue, Beauty and Terroir. All of the ingredients behind great wine. This time from Brouilly. Chateau Nervers, located in Rhône of the French region Rhône-Alpes, the village of Odenas. My recent trip to Beaujolais took me all over France. From Burgundy to Nice. No property or story was I so taken with than the one of Château de Nervers this trip. The vineyards behind me comprise about 53 hectares. Swipe right for a peek at the Castle and a full view of the landscape where dinosaur might’ve frolicked. This magnificent castle has been in the family close to 200 years. The property an exchange to pay off an old gambling debt. With no money to repay, the former owner gifted the estate to the family and the 50 hectares that surround the estate. Today the 6th generation Estate managers, Jean-Benoît and Tiphaine de Chabannes are at the reigns of this breathtaking Château. Drone footage coming soon. Bien nous en a pris, j’ai vraiment beaucoup aimé ce vin ! Un jus très bien travaillé par G. Descombes, on sent une maturité parfaite des raisins. Ce qui donne une vraie rondeur, des arômes de cerises griottes, des tanins très discrets, une acidité contenue et une super fraîcheur ! . .
