Here I’ve modified the 90/90 position by sitting on the side of a mattress. ⚠️Keep in mind that there are prerequisites to sit in 90/90! I start by checking what PASSIVE R.O.M. I have followed by ACTIVE R.O.M. Visibly, my active R.O.M. is lagging more than 15degrees behind my passive R.O.M., so order of training begins with POSITIONAL ISOMETRICS. .

What’s my favourite way to stretch?
Working in my full range of motion! Passive or static stretching has its benefits, but I usually prefer active “stretching” by incorporating it into my strength training. Flexibility can get you into a deep lunge but mobility and healthy joints can (and should!) get you out.

3/4 WALL SPINE CARs (thoracic spine focus)

This version of spine CARs is excellent for those who are learning to segment the t-spine. It’s great to mix this up with the earlier version I’ve posted using a block between the top of the TL junction and the wall. Remember that it isn’t always about progressing in ‘exercises’. Basics are always your foundation and occasionally breaking things down and up is wonderful for training. If you‘be found my earlier post for T-spine CARs challenging, this here would be a superb alternative to work on.

Here the wall is utilized to give you feedback in segmentation and a block for the hips to keep them from coupling in the CARs. There is no thoracic extension in this due to the presence of the wall.

⚠️ Irradiate through your lower half of the body! You want your hips and legs to stay solid and still throughout this.
.
⚠️ Focus on peeling your spine off the wall but keep your neck/head in the same position from start to finish.
.
