The other day I posted the bottom photo on my IG story, celebrating the fact that I fit into a pair of designer jeans for the first time ever. When I took the picture, I was so focused on the fact that I actually was able to zip these pants but when I looked back at it before posting, I couldn’t believe that that was MY body. I don’t even recognize my thighs, hips, and especially my stomach. HOW is this even me?! I could literally cry. ⁣ ⁣ Comparing this pic to one taken back in January just blows my mind. I had already lost 30+lbs in the before pic but my lower stomach has always been my biggest problem area. I always tried to hide it with baggier/longer shirts and fit & flare dresses but no matter what I did, it would still show. I was embarrassed of it and so self conscious about it! Even during weight loss, it continued to linger while I lost inches everywhere else. I never thought it’d go away!! Now, I definitely still have this lower belly pouch and it’s probably something I’ll always have unless I get a tummy tuck but I am just sooo happy with my progress! To have the option of wearing shorter shirts, a french tuck, crop tops, and tighter dresses is in my near future and I am SO excited!!!! Batabano 2018 left and 2019 right. Those who say surgery is the easy way out, have no idea what it takes. But for me, the journey has been more than worth it. 100 pounds down from my highest weight, 75 from surgery and my goal was to be down 50 by Batabano. I crushed that by 25 pounds.
