A spectrum of RPEs on my (unsuccessful) attempt of #roadto100 ‍♀️. 7 (my current competition max!) -> 9/9.5 (ft. @bornalifts Voice in the background if you listen carefully) -> 10.1 -> two days of proper post-squat hangover. . . It’s really annoyed me that I pulled muscle on my right leg slightly this close to competition and all three lifts are affected - you can clearly see the hip/knee rotation at the bottom. Yesterday when training a wave of greatfulness hit me. I was resting in between sets and saw how the whole of @bethnalgreenwlc paused what they were doing to cheer on a fellow athlete It was beautiful and got me to reflect over the incredible impact these supportive people have - you push that extra rep, do an extra set and there is nothing looked upon as failure, just lessons learned. Yesterday's play Tng bench won't work in comp so coach put in a variation with 3 reps, 1st one paused @80kg for 4 sets Wasn't quite sure what to think about it but perfect exercise for the drop down sesh. I’M SO HAPPY TODAY!!! . . Got band deadlift 2x3 @ ~125 kg at top/sub-max RPE. And just slightly over a month ago I failed locking out 127.5 kg in my last meet (second vid). . . I know they’re not the same thing but my pulls have been progressing fairly linearly this block and I’m feeling positive to make some PBs soon! . .
