I truly feel that grace plays a role in the journey, when it’s truly needed. It’s so important to recognize our strength, determination, and efforts along the way despite life’s challenges. Trust me, I’ve been through some doozies!

So many times people say that they are “giving themselves grace” when actually they should be saying: “I’m giving myself permission to lose track of my goals.”
⠀
Giving ourselves grace through a temporary disruption is one thing, giving ourselves permission to drag it out is another.
⠀
At some point, we need to face the music and lace our shoes back up to take that next step no matter how uncomfortable it makes us.
⠀
It’s scary to develop new habits. The { development stage } feels uncomfortable, it feels wrong in the most interesting and adventurous ways, and it feels right in the most powerful and self-confidence building ways.

We must continue to explore the development stages as the journey progresses.
You think you’re an expert now that you’ve been “doing this” for a while?
Reality check: no, no you’re not. And neither am I!

We keep learning and growing as time passes. And we’re basically faced with two choices:
EVOLVE
or
REPEAT.

Giving ourselves “grace” to repeat behaviors that don’t serve us is not the answer.

Own it... own the permission that you gave yourself that’s currently holding you back. Most of the time we don’t even realize we’re doing it! And that’s where it comes full circle: by giving ourselves grace to be kind to ourselves through this discovery that maybe, just maybe... we were holding ourselves back for way too long.
