If you’re going to cut the fruit to serve in a bowl anyway, it doesn’t take much longer to put it on skewers. The key in my opinion is to cut the melon into bite size pieces so the it is easy to eat straight off the skewers.

Recipe
To make Fruit Kebabs:

Cut assorted melons into bite size pieces, as close to the same size as possible.
.
Place the cut pieces on skewers following a pattern and book end the skewers with berries.

We used Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Honeydew, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries and grapes.

What a year this has been. I can honestly say that this has been my best and happiest year in 8 years. From dealing with my dad’s cancer and losing him, to a failed engagement, to college struggles due to my grief, gaining over 100 pounds, moving and moving and moving again, major mental and physical health struggles, an uncertain future and a job that made me miserable to getting healthy and living my best life. I wish I had known the difference that would be made in all parts of my life just by putting my health first. I started with that and the rest just fell into place. I’ll always be grateful for Keto for being the tool that allowed me to get to where I am now. It’s scary to think where I would be had I not found it. - As I approach 19 months into my journey, as shown above, I have lost... but I’ve gained so much more.
Gained self-happiness.
Gained self-love.
Gained learning to accept someone else’s love for me.
Gained self-care to eat for nourishment & adapt an active lifestyle to keep my muscles & heart in check.
Gained patience for myself & realizing results may not be instantaneous and that’s okay — because no matter my pace, forward is forward.
Gained understanding and realizing if I fall off track, I can get back ON track and that although I may fall down 7 times, I WILL get back up 8.
Gained kindness for myself and realizing that there’s no reason to tear myself down for a little bump on the very long road that is my life long journey.
The little bump does not define my journey.
I define my journey.
I am in control of what I do and of my actions.
And because of that, I am here today.

Additional info: My journey began in October 2016. My highest recorded weight was 227 pounds. I am currently maintaining around 140 pounds, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more (140 being my goal and I have maintained it since hitting it approx. 6 months ago). I am 5’3”.
In regards to what my food plan is and what types of workouts I do, I have those posted on my page. Look for the posts with a blue background & bold black lettering, one is labeled, “HOW DO I START?”, the other, “WHAT IS YOUR FOOD PLAN AND EXERCISE REGIME?”
