Terracotta bricks serve an aesthetic rather than structural purpose at the Santa Fe de Bogota Foundation hospital, designed by Colombian firm Equipo de Mazzanti Architects. The project incorporates a pedestrian walkway through the building as well as focusing on indoor and outdoor gardens for both hospital patrons and the public. Our built environments generate feelings, and at the new psychiatry building at the hospital in Tønsberg we focused on creating “healing architecture”. The architecture, landscape and interior design that we been responsible for - aims to eliminate environmental stressors by spacious floor plans with good light and acoustic conditions, warm colors and materials and the close relation to plants and gardens.
