Playing with arm balances never fails to challenge me. The fruit of this practice though is an amazing boost of energy, more stamina and strength, and very importantly - fun! I know that yoga is a deep spiritual practice that we do to come a step closer to self-realization, but I also believe in having moments of fun among a sea of hard work in the process. Life is sure to deliver a whole range of both beautiful and tough experiences, so I choose to use yoga and lightness to navigate through it instead of letting the heavy stuff weigh me down. What’s your strategy?

⁉️Today I read an expression that got me thinking. kids dont remember what you teach them, they remember how you teach “- i started analyzing what i remembered about my teachers and the first thing that came to my mind were the emotions that i felt during the times I was being taught by them, not really the disciplines they taught. Some were associating with fear, stress, some with laugh & fun... . . .i was also thinking about my kids and how i teach them. While i love them more than anything Im not always a perfect mom . Physical and emotional stress takes its toll, feeling weak and often powerless when i cant control the situation , the built up tension often breaks out in a form of raising voice , scolding, etc. There’s is always lots of guilt for inability to be a perfect mom, for not being able to get them to do what is needed during the situation. Too much info in the head, if you let them have everything their way you spoil if you fight and have it your way, you break the fragile individual ‍♀️ and then . . While I know everything leaves its imprints in there subconscious I dont have tools nor that I know anybody that does to be a perfect parent even though they are very conscious about the process. . . Now the question is how not to feel even more guilt that every time you lose it the experience and memories can not be removed from their little brains. ‍♀️ . . We all go through tough times, but with strong, REAL and meaningful relationships we live happier, longer and healthier lives. As humans we need to be part of a community to survive and thrive. Generosity to others brings us happiness. Loneliness shortens your life as much as smoking does! It’s interesting to see how people react when I have asked them for help because I’m renovating and need a place to stay. Friends have handed over keys, offered to make me a key or told me whenever I need it I can always stay with them. In tough situations, some people will go out of their way to show up for you, and some people will disappear. It’s not the number of relationships we have that matter, it’s the quality and depth of those relationships. Can we be vulnerable, and can we feel safe and supported with each relationship? Is that person really going to be there when we need them for something real?! Our physical and mental well-being is supported by the relationships that keep us happier and healthier. Those who don’t help will probably get sick and die sooner (kidding, but... science) Like I say in class, have no judgement, simply an awareness of what’s happening or not happening.
