There are days when everything seems to be going right in my classroom. And then there are days I question if I chose the right profession to go into. But we NEED things to help us be better. We need supplies that we don’t have to pay for out of our own pocket. We need curriculum that can help us guide our learning. We need beneficial professional development to help us grow as educators. We need self-care to relax, reflect, and recharge. Yes, teaching is hard. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Thank you Pinterest! I now have the perfect end tables, AND I finally have a good use for my 1978 textbooks I made these the easiest type B way possible: I used a glue gun to adhere each textbook to the stack, then I used three coats of pure white paint and primer in one. Easy, beautiful, and perfect for my ELA classroom

Year 5 is THE year. Studies have shown that Year 5 is the year teachers decide to stay or leave the profession. Teacher Burnout is at its peak in Year 5. And guess what? I just so happen to be in Year 5. It’s not been a breezy year by any stretch of the imagination. It’s been a year of trial and error, a year of testing, a year of courage, and a year of strength.
