A NEW RISING STAR Teang Borin, known as Din, was born and raised in kampot province, Cambodia. Someone asked me which is my favorite Naga? • Over the years I have developed warm friendships with many Nagas around Angkor and so naturally I have a few favorites... for example I’m quite fond of this five-headed Naga from the 12th century Beng Mealea temple (I might post some closeups of him soon) • I’m quite interested in Naga sculptures and the way they have been carved... I’ve noticed that there are differences between each style, for example the Angkor Wat style Nagas are different to the Bayon style Nagas and so forth... I’ve also noticed some variation within each style... It has been 38 years since she has seen her. I met this Mother during my Grandmothers funeral last month. She approached me because she saw that I had a camera and heard from family that I was from America. She asked me for help finding her daughter and I said the best I can do is make a video for you and share it. The mother and daughter were separated when the daughter was 8 years old. She left with her Aunt. The aunt has now passed away. The mother says that every time she would ask about her daughter, the aunt wouldn't tell her anything. Now that the aunt has passed, she is even more desperate to find out about her daughter. All she knows is that she is now 47-48 years old and worked at a hospital that took care of the elderly somewhere in San Diego California.
