This summer I have been working on a special gift ~ a baby blanket for the great grandchild of dear family friends. It was so fun to involve the mom-to-be in selecting the yarn color to go with their plans for the nursery. She picked the‘Smoky Quartz’ colorway in the @lionbrandyarn Color Made Easy yarn. It’s a beautiful dark, dusty forest green...leaning towards charcoal gray. The color is simply lovely!!! I’m using my ‘All These Places’ blanket pattern and I love how this rich colorway works with the stitch pattern. ✨ NEW PATTERN ✨ - Introducing the #LancasterPurse made with @lionbrandyarn 24/7 Cotton - I think everyone knows how obsessed I am with this yarn so this shouldn’t be a surprise - This bag uses juuuust over 1 skein, like just a few rows of a second skein. It uses contrasting stitches and the body vs purse flap are worked in vertical vs horizontal rows to make it a little more visually interesting, you know? - I added the leather strap to make it look a little more store-bought, and this is the same strap that I used for my Oxbow Tote! I like to be able to easily clip it on and off so that I can use just one strap for a variety of bags. I included the exact strap in the blog post and in the pattern! Guess what! My introverted self totally survived @ourmakerlife ! I'm so proud of me. For real, i was nervous for days before leaving but it was amazing. I'm so glad I challenged myself, stepped well outside my comfort zone, & came up to Calgary.
