I had no idea I would actually enjoy living outside of the lower mainland, but all the sudden shine and bright snow has me swooning on the daily. Tonight Damian climbed up to his stroller and said “walk,walk” so we wandered around a park and a public (and free) ice rink for a bit.

Being a mom isn’t easy — in fact most days I still feel like I’m “winging” it 16 years later. You try so hard to make your kids fit in and be accepted but why? Why do they need to fit in? Why can’t we teach them to stand out and be unique? They each have their own unique qualities that make them fill a place in my heart that make me whole! I want them to embrace those qualities and never try to fit into a box! Boxes are boring — I hope they stay true to their unique selves and fit into people’s hearts because hearts are unique and each one beats a little different ♥︎
