Oorspronkelijk geopend in 1830, in 1896 werd de distilleerderij gekocht door Johnnie Walker & Sons, die de distilleerderij sloot in 1924. In 2007 werd het pand gekocht door de Annandale Distillery Company en weer nieuw leven in geblazen. 2014 werden de eerste vaten gevuld. Real Men Drink Whisky NL heeft het geluk gehad om een 4-tal samples te mogen ontvangen van hun meest recente uitgaves. Man o' Words is de "non-peated" variant en Man o' Sword is daarin tegen "peated". Van beide varianten zijn er twee verschillende expressies; een first-fill bourbon rijping en een Oloroso sherry rijping.
