She’s everything good about this world wrapped up into a tiny package. Her laughter is music and her eyes, they’re full of a hunger to learn more. The sharpness of her memory stings me every time I’m met with a promise I have yet to fill, like the fruit snacks I said she could have on the ride home from daycare. Her existence came at a time when I heavily debated mine. But that moment, when a positive sign gleamed on the promise of a complete world shift – I never felt more certain that my life had purpose. Her being has taken me by the hand and guided me to myself. A twenty-three year old, just barely out of college – I had no idea where my life was headed. It’s as though the universe saw my fear, my hesitancy, my pain, and said: here. I won’t be fraudulent in my description of parenthood. Emerging full fledge into a world of responsibility at a young age was not easy. I have held anger and hurt so strongly in my heart for my situation and for my relationship for a very long time. I felt robbed of the family I wanted for my child. The struggle of having to sculpt a human while I remain unfinished has been the hardest adventure. But that’s just what it is – an adventure and one that I was willing to take on, steadfastly. My current situation has broke me but has also taught me to be resilient. Its taught me to fend for myself, and at times, put a wall up. But it also has humbled me - I’ve learned to ask for help, learned to lean on others, and learned most importantly to be patient with myself. I will continue to constantly do the best I can with what I have. I will not afraid to dream, because my happiness and spirit depend on faith. I am broken, but I am mending and by the grace if God I have the most beautiful gift to walk beside me through this life.

This picture makes me really happy and all nostalgic at the same time. I miss the 90s. I miss being little. I miss my family being the way it was. I miss my mom being healthy all the time. I miss things being easier. I miss a simpler time. I miss knowing nothing but love and fun. I just miss it sometimes ‍♀️ ✨& that’s okay. Sometimes you just miss things and you have to sit with it until your ready to “let it go”. I think we don’t really let things go though. We just come to a place of acceptance really. We create a new normal while sometimes revisiting the old. When you reach the point where you can bless the old with love, gratitude, and acceptance is when you know your doing some good soul work✨ so maybe the goal shouldn’t be to let things go today. Maybe It should be about being able to surround the old situations with gratitude that they happened, and understanding that something being so good it’s worth missing now is a blessing. While we may feel that getting the right job is the most important factor in serving God or experiencing the life he intends for us, God is much more concerned that we make the most of every job we have over the course of our lives. You can be the light in a dark situation. You can show Gods glory by glorifying him in a place where you didn’t before. Do the best that you can, like your doing it for the Lord in everything you do even if it means throwing out the trash for now. Just remember where King David started. . He was a servant! | here’s a mom truth nugget when it comes to raising boys that I’ve found to be 100% accurate :: if you keep them busy, you’re fine, they’re fine and everything is great. BUT if they get bored, they’ll dismantle the house room by room, piece by piece. ⠀⠀ here’s a shot of my sons trying to break down my gate because I was going downstairs to take a shower and I said they couldn’t tag along. this is my reality right now and to be honest, it’s moments like this that make me crack up because they have some of the most creative ideas. but these moments also make me nervous because as soon as all three can get together and riot, I’m really outnumbered
