How I’m feeling right about now! I was selected as one of the NAPCP (National Association of Professional Child Photographers) top 100 2019 Featured Artists! I'll have 7 images on display this year at Park Studios at their gallery event! Some of them are client work (3 underwater images) which I'm thrilled about because all us photogs know it's just much easier to get creative and create award-winning images with your own kiddos than with clients - less limits on time, bossiness, bribery, etc. . The images of mine that were selected are posted to my stories. I’m different. I know that! And for years I thought that was a bad thing. I wanted to meet the standards of beauty. Feel accepted. And kinda jump up and down showing I had the life people wanted... even though... . . I didn’t have that life. I struggle with postpartum anxiety. My weight. Motherhood. Bills. My body image. Confidence. Marriage. Depression. I truly felt at a time my life needed to look like the beauty of another’s to finally feel happy. Then it dawned on me... . . I’m beautiful by just being me. Focusing on my journey. Not looking to the left or the right comparing myself. . . So many years in my own head thinking I needed all these things to validate me... when really I needed to just just let joy in my everyday life. Being thankful for each moment I have being the women I am. The wife to my husband. And the mother to my children. . . I’m not beautiful like you. And I’m ok with that now. I sit here today wishing you nothing but the joy that I found through stopping the vicious cycle of comparison. You deserve that joy that comes from finding yourself and That confidence. . . Comparing ourselves will only keep us stuck in that same place. Day in. And day out. Rise up. Wish others the best. And focus on your life. Your passion. And your confidence! Today was such a sweet day. We slept in until 9, made pancakes for breakfast, drove to the beach, got lunch & sat in the trunk while we ate. It was rainy & there was no surf & we were kinda disappointed when we pulled up but it turned out to be such a beautiful day & now I have a ton of pictures to remember it by ♡

.... . It’s amazing how life can throw you ! Some make you realize how short life is, and that we should try to live it to the fullest! One day I hope to make it to a beautiful beach like this in Italy! It’s on my bucket list for sure! . Other times we get caught up in ᴊᴜɢɢʟɪɴɢ life. Like butterfly bandaging up your three year olds knee after he cuts it open. Or scheduling another dentist appointment because your 8 year old has 3 cavities . . So I will for now! I watched a video on YouTube this morning of an influencer @mrsrmeldrum who was in tears because she's being bullied by nasty women who have nothing better to do than bash others - (probably and more than likely because they are jealous or deeply unhappy with their own lives!) this Mother is a wonderful Mum and does YouTube videos to support her family. It sickens me that people hide behind their screens, tapping away words to ridicule and insult others for no reason. What is the world coming to?
