Silhouette & stars ✨ . My second shot from Binalong Bay, taken nearly an hour before sunrise on a morning which just kept on giving. I’d arrived quite early and noticed a few stars twinkling between the clouds to the west, so decided to do a quick westerly comp to see if I could catch some. The birthplace of Simple Simon ▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️ Do you know the story of Simple Simon? •• If you don’t, too bad. I’m not Bonita off Play School and I’m not about to sit you down next to the Rocket Clock and tell you that story. That’s what Google’s for •• One of the hidden gems of @dwctas is this little spot here. Accessible only by boat, we missioned here looking for the fabled “doorway” or “stairway to heaven”. Upon finding it, we could then alight upon said mythical stairs in search of the Pie Man himself, by exiting the boat, which floated gracefully on the Pieman (River). •• There was no Pie Man to be found, but instead the stairs took us to another magical place within the Tarkine Forest. •• But that magical place is an image for another day. If you know it then congratulations. If you don’t, head to Corinna and have a beer at the Tarkine Hotel (only accessible by barge), and wait for the next tour... worth it.
