Roses de Chloé is one of the most beautiful, delicate fragrances I own, created to “capture a walk down the Parisian rose gardens.” Fresh bergamot greets you at the top, and the heart blooms into a gentle damask rose + magnolia. YEAR-ROUND BLOOM First I thought she was a great cozy winter fragrance, then I found her to work great in the spring where her notes took on a new freshness... now I’m realizing she’s TRULY a summer baby, where the heat makes the jasmine bloom in full-effect. Depressed from Saffron Walden here. I am on day 5 of my cold and am utterly fed up of sneezing, coughing, having a sore throat that feels like I have swallowed razor blades but more than anything I miss my sense of taste and smell. I just tried to eat my all time favourite crisp “ Quavers” thinking how nothing ever stops that cheesy waft but NOTHING!! I am beyond miserable..... no doubt I have lost a few pounds this week as I haven’t had any wine or cheeky after school chocolate with my daughter but I would happily have those pounds and a few more just for a smell of something, anything- even the dogs farts..... I am driving to Wales tomorrow for @fforest Glow and going via @twentytwentygallery to meet Mary and drop off some work. Usually I love long journeys in the car, a fresh audiobook and a packet of stripy humbugs .... stopping for lunch and trying to resist and often failing the lure of a McDonalds filet of fish (I know.. sorry).
