Excuse my giant face, I've been waiting for my mom at her office because she forgot I was supposed to meet her for lunch. LOL. Anyway, I used the Blush Stick we made -- for those who are asking about this product, we used Shea Butter as the main ingredient because it doesn't clog pores and it's a natural moisturizer that conditions and soothes skin (its often used as healing lotion and to help prevent wrinkles or stretch marks). We also used a natural colorant (i dont wanna look like I got slapped, just want rosy cheeks). And the most important thing - this is SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN. Admittedly, when I'm not pregnant I use commercial make-up but I'm extra careful on what products I use when I am. Slowly, I'm transitioning my collection to natural or organic ones. Available for PRE-ORDER this evening via @pampercornerph You can use it on your lips too!!! #selfie #rosycheeks #22weekspregnant #preggy
We made it to 2nd trimester! Everyday counts as a blessing. Our baby is getting chunkier too! He or she will be a cheeky one like Kara By the way, I need some help please. Can you recommend local stores where I can find maternity-friendly clothes? It doesn't have to be specific for maternity purposes but versatile enough to accommodate a pregnant belly. I prefer corporate and smart casual look. I also wanted to find formal wear (for weddings). I'm not fond of going to the mall unless I really have to, so I really hope you guys can recommend online stores (I did enumerate the benefits of online shopping in my article in @manilabulletin last May). Thank you in advance!!! .

One of my greatest regrets - not listening to my parents and to my yaya when they told me to nap in the afternoon when i was a kid (and now i cant even do a cat nap!) Sleep is very important especially for babies and children. Aside from promoting growth and improving mood, sleep has been shown to be important for maturation of infants’ brains and consolidation of their memories. Several studies have shown that babies with more efficient nighttime sleep (greater percentage of time spent asleep during the night) had higher cognitive scores. Here's a guide on how much sleep and naps kids need per age. Do tag and share other parents who will find these useful.
Monkey See, Monkey do!!! hahaha got shocked with what Kara did. Ordered Tim Ho Wan for snacks (we love their dimsum!) I was eating with chopsticks and then Kara said "mama, borrow." Note: this was done with extreme supervision, but I trust my daughter to be careful as well. Anyway, no yaya today (and papa Adi is out so mama-Kara time, I am so looking forward to her nap time so we can nap on her #Ggumbibumperbed hihi!) #babyledweaningph #funfeedingmat2go #smartbaby #chopsticks #smartkids
It's #TIPTHURSDAY so I'm starting with the most important tip I can share with first time moms like me. No to mom-shaming. Each family situation and child is unique so we dont have a say on how other parents want to raise or take care of their kids (unless they are doing something really harmful, that's the only time I share my concern). I think, the most annoying thing I've heard was when someone said "oh you breastfeed, parang poor people." I was too shocked to react to that, I just forced a smile. Made me wonder about that person's upbringing. Anyway, this is but one sample of people who try to berate one's choice. There are many out there. Most of the time, I just ignore but there are times when I give them my piece of mind. What's the worst you've heard? Anyway, as a first time mom, I just do and try my best to raise a good person (& praying we have another baby, Kara needs a playmate, or kaputol "utol", her kakampi just like how my sister is to me). ❤️❤️❤️
This is a general guide but tooth eruption differs per child. Taking good care of your child's teeth is important because even “baby” teeth help your child chew food and speak clearly. Baby teeth also hold space so permanent teeth can grow in straight. If you start your child off with good dental habits, your child will find it easier to keep those good habits forever. Start with wiping their gums every after feeding when they dont have teeth yet. Once it erupts, make sure to brush twice a day. By the way, glad that moms messaged me that their babies started liking brushing when they switched to Tiny Fangs by @tinybudsbaby (same with Kara; she didn't like the flavor and texture of other toothpastes; now she would say "clean teeth" before bed and when she wakes up so we can give her toothbrush. She does it on her own already )
Mommies, do you have those moments when you look at your child and you just get teary-eyed because of some surge of emotion? Kara said she was sleepy and grabbed her SSC (soft-structured carrier) from @inmyarmsph - she handed it to me, like she was silently asking me to rock her to sleep. YES AYAN NA ANG MGA LUHA KO. Usually, it's just the yaya and her during this time of day. For the first 4 months of Kara's life, we didn't have a yaya so she was always in her SSC while I do some other stuff. She'll just fall asleep in it. When we found a yaya, I didnt use the carrier at home anymore, just when were out and about but now it's like she reminded me how I used to make her sleep... And in just a few seconds of dancing, this toddler drifted off already. By the way, did you know that by simply looking, being near, and smiling at each other, moms and babies synchronize their heartbeats to within milliseconds of each other? This is important especially for infants because in the beginning, their heartbeats are still irregular. This is also why #babywearing and #breastfeeding play significant roles in your child's development. Happy International Baby Wearing Week!!!
