Identifying as a nightfury? | Hi all, plz read before settling with the title. I’m asking for your imputs and opinions, on IF I would identify as a nightfury. Not toothless specificly, but a nightfury. Ever since I can remember I’ve “had something with dragons”, even while “with” could become very close to, or just to, “as”. Since as long as I can remember, I’ve played to be a dragon. I was 100% convinced I could fly and 100% convinced that dragons exist on this earth. I was convinced I could physically shapeshift into “my dragon form” and I always always played to be the dragon or to interact with a dragon at school and with friends. I’ve drawn hunderds of them, and made just as many dragon representations of myself. Let’s not talk about the tens of guides I made or dragon books I read and sites I looked up. Now ever since I watched the how to train your dragon movie in 2010, in premiére for my 10th birthday.. I sort of imprinted on toothless. Actually rather the species “nightfury” however. I’ve never been sure what this imprinting exactly is, and feel too scared and unwilling (due the fear) to actually research this or put labels on it. | “I looked at him, and I saw myself” ~Hiccup | Is the sentence that would describe what I experience. It feels more me, than a connection or something seperated from me. But it feels.. yeh that path I never dared to take. Only to let individuals to be safe and to have a safe and loving environment to be in. Having a pack/tribe/herd doesn’t make you more or less as a therian/otherkin/nonhuman. They are formed to make friendships and a bond together and to show them that they can be safe. • A healthy clan/pack/tribe/group: Give support/help/encouragement to others. Provides a safe and caring environment to talk sense of sensitive topics. Open to others about their differences. Interacts with others and will be open to answer questions when they are able too. Socializes with one another • Unhealthy packs/clans/groups/packs: A leader that controls others through words or actions to make others uncomfortable. Talks rude or makes fun of other packs/groups. Exclusivity - where a group makes a group exclusive to certain species. This ca cause others to feel a little left out, separate friends who want to be in the same group, and even possibly encourage others to fake their kintype to join the group they want. Even though, this isn’t every packs intentions, some of these would do it because of not being open to other therians/otherkin with different species. • These are all that we have by far. [Canine feels]-[part 1] And now, for some of what I think are canine experiences. (Also...here, have this majestic photo). This one bugs me. Either it’s recent (and probably a cameo or a kith…or I’m just really a wolf obsessed person…Or…it was always there (as my kin), hiding behind my (quite dominant) feline characteristics and I never paid attention. Here are all the things I do which I think are canine related : -I use my sense of smell. Sometimes this is how I discover objects / the world around me. I also use this for food. Is it still good to eat, or just how it smells in general as well as the taste it can have based on smell alone. (And smelling food is badly seen by many people I know…because it looks uneducated). The way I see it and experience it, I think it’s also a bit different from felines (and humans, for that matter). -I wiggle my butt when happy or exited. If I had a tail…pretty sure I would wiggle it instead of my butt, lol. -Howls seems to be a way of communicating my emotions, or wanting contact with those I consider my peers. -I never feel the need to bark, however. (Unless I want to do idiot with some people I know, who aren’t therians, or with my small dog). Or it’s kind of mixed in with a growl. Therefore, not really a bark (in the dog sense). -Howls and growls are more of a thing instead of plain dog barks. -I yelp and whimper when sad and in emotional pain. -I snarl when angry or annoyed. And not in a way felines do snarl. As canines generally keep their mouth closed, and felines almost always open their mouth, sometimes making a hissing sound or a roar. The Pineal Gland - By Hirshama - What is the pineal gland? It is a small pea-sized gland located in the center of the brain between both hemispheres. This gland is responsible for producing melatonin, a serotonin derived hormone that affects sleep. It is also sometimes referred to as the "spiritual" gland or "psychic" gland and serves as the minds eye, often known as your "third eye". What does pineal mean? Pineal comes from the root word pinea which is the Latin word for pinecone. It is given this name because the shape resembles that of a small pinecone. Why is it important? Not only is it important for your sleep/wake schedules it is also important for meditations, trances, and higher spiritual connections. Think of it as your own personal antennae for your higher self. The pineal gland not only has the makings of a third eye, it is also believed to release a natural DMT as well. This DMT is released during dreaming, spiritual and mystical experiences, and also during time of death. Its a chemical compound that, when ingested, has the most powerful hallucinogenic effects out of any other drug. What happens if you don't take care of it? How can I decalcify my pineal gland? Fruits are good especially Lemons. Lemons with fresh ginger turned into a tea is really good for detox/decalcifying. Oregano oil and neem extract. Raw cacao (that's right, chocolate! However it has to be raw, organic chocolate in its purest form. Heard it tastes gross, but is amazing for you). Chlorophyll rich super foods like spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass and blue-green algae. Raw Apple Cidar Vinegar (usually packaged in a glass container) Iodine supplement mixed with a diet containing foods such as kale, broccoli, almonds, oranges, flax seed, sesame seeds, dill, thyme and other dried herbs. ▸ I'd just like to point out that therianthropy isn't just being connected to, or liking an animal. I've noticed that some newer therians describe their therianthropy as being connected to animals, while that's actually being otherkith. Otherkith, or also called otherhearted, is identifying WITH an animal (while being otherkin/therian is identifying AS an animal), having a connection to it, and viewing it as family.
