I wove this pack basket for my honey for Father’s Day. Haven’t gotten a photo of him wearing it yet, but I will share when I do. I had burned a wooden handle for it but unfortunately it broke when I was trying to hook it into the basket! I’m still really happy with the earthy color pallet and patterning. Finally got around to touching up old reliable. I beefed up the corners of the flap with some primo flexible bark and thin veg-tanned leather on the hinges (The bright yellow bark is the newest). The bottom of the bag got new leather corners and better bottom adjusting straps. And I added a handy little stopper knot under the roll straps to keep the band from sliding up and down the bag. Basket pack finished! This proved a fair old wrestle with over soaked, over sized willow so it’s turned out a bit gnarly and bumpy, but with plenty of rustic charm! It’s also surprisingly light and comfortable to wear!
