What if I told you I only used this much conditioner on all this hair? Swipe to see the average amount used on a lot of curly’s. Sometimes it’s two of these pumps... sometimes 3. If it’s tightly textured hair, it’s more...but still in this amount of conditioner to equal parts water ratio. It’s a little conditioner, then a little water...repeated until you hear that magic sound. Until you’ve thoroughly married the conditioner and water together. I think most clients are OVER conditioning. “But my hair is so dry”.... Is it really dry or is there just a whole lot of build up repelling all the water? Is it loaded in heavy butters and oils? Are you trapping water with a strong enough hold or are you terrified of gels and using heavy creams? I’m gonna say something very scary right now... if after you wash your hair you can finger rake through without any knotting or tangling... maybe you don’t even need conditioner that wash day.
