Riding off into the weekend... Well there’s really no such thing as a true “weekend” for us. Caring for livestock is a 24/7/365 job, and many weekends are spent checking cattle, feeding, irrigating, fixing fence, or other responsibilities that don’t rely on a 9-5 schedule. . . We’re incredibly fortunate to spend every day doing what we love. Confrontation

For someone to say that people like this man don’t care for or love their livestock seriously breaks my heart. I watch him work day in and day out, from dawn to dusk. He doesn’t do it for glory or for benefits that these farmers and ranchers of our world SHOULD receive, but don’t. He does it simply because he has to. Because he wants to. Because he is working to provide for our future family. Because those livestock are our livelihood. Like anything, there are always a few who ruin things and make everyone else look bad. It doesn’t matter what profession. Whether it be politics, business, music, etc. There are bad seeds. There are bad people who do things the wrong way. But that’s not everyone. That’s not the majority. That’s not those men and women who get up everyday to feed their horses before they feed themselves, or look relentlessly for 2 sheep that might be missing to make sure they aren’t harmed, or the person who packs lunches for every person working that day because she is doing her part, or the farmer who is out fixing sprinklers so his crops grow so he can feed his family.
