A certain bacterial disease can persist on the winter foliage of tropical milkweeds. Then, when monarchs feed on these tropical milkweeds the bacterium can transfer from the plant to the larvae and eventually to the adult butterfly, weakening and even killing them.⠀ ⁣⠀ PLANTS NOT PLASTICS CONTAINER REUSE PROGRAM⁣⠀ To encourage and incentivize our customers to return their plastic plant containers for reuse, we have begun contributing a small donation to an environmental stewardship organization, Surfrider Foundation, for each plastic container returned.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ RG SCHOOL GARDEN PROGRAM⁣⠀ In 2019 we began providing unlimited plants and supplies to Newport Beach Public Elementary Schools to assist them in engaging and educating their students in edible gardening.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ We hope everyone has a beautiful Earth Day and is working to find at least one way to reduce their footprint on our planet.
