It has been 2wks since #jrbabychang has arrived & here is the birth story...The whole labour feels so surreal. I can’t rmb what had happened! Still I need to give myself a pat for not taking epidural. But this is nth to be proud of cos l feel like a joke during the whole labour . 3-4cm: The day before I was dilated at 3cm. But when my gynae came to check on my dilation, I was STILL at 4cm! I was quite sian la; thinking it has been 1 night and still no progress ☹️ . 4-5cm: The pain was bearable The midwife asked me to try laughing gas to make myself relax. She even taught me how to use it effectively so my body will not be immuned to it. In short, breathe in when the contraction comes. . 5-6cm: While I’m in pain, I babbled a lot of nonsense. I even asked my hubby if the laughing gas is FREE FLOW and what if I finished them?! He burst out laughing and said “FREE FLOW ONE, just 吸而已!” And I held on to it like a drug addict. . 6-7cm: This is the time where I lost myself. I was cursing why the dilation was so slow when the midwife came to “dig” me - If you get what I mean by digging I was holding on the laughing gas and basically in my own world. I went on “为什么还在6CM!”, “为什么将久的!” IN AGONY! . 7cm: I completely went insane - he said! He described me as possessed and seems to be controlled by a spirit. I was twisting and tossing my whole body when the contraction kicked in. I went “来了来了!”, “又来了!” and went into “possessed mode”. This went on and on...The midwife asked if I need any injection. And I agreed for pethidine without knowing she had injected my butt. I kept asking for injection till midwives and hub replied me “打了打了!” And I was so pissed “哪里有! 不要骗我!” IN AGONY! . 8-10cm: Still in possessed mode, the midwife said that baby’s head was crowning. I kept yelling “我不要生了”, ”为什么还没有出来!” HAHA! Finally had the urge to push. I felt like I’m having constipation and tummy hurt SO BADLY! I rmb myself grabbing one of the midwives’ arm real hard - twisting & pinching, only to realise that it wasn’t hubby’s arm I had 4 or 5 pushes. The final push I gathered all my might and pushed like I haven’t pangsai for the longest. Finally she is out after 8hrs! TBC below ⬇
