Today a lovely woman lady girl person walked up to my craft fair tent, stopped short, made a "wait a minute, this looks familiar" face, took out her phone, and proceeded to discover she follows me on Instagram and what a surprise (and I assume, delight ) to run into me. After, I turned to my friend and said wasn't that funny. Funny as in, what are the odds? My friend pointed out that since I now have an Instagram following the size of the town we grew up in, the odds were actually probably pretty good. This reminded me to make mention to all you townsfolk how ridiculous I think it is that you are here. Ridiculous, as in how lucky am I and thank you. 25k is a stupid number of Instagram followers (for someone who talks about chickens so much) and I am grateful every day (except when I'm fed-up with taking pictures and my absurd caption well runneth dry) for your support and companionship. Also, I shall henceforth refer to this collective as LULAville. (Which works even better if you know where I am from.)

Every custom jewelry client wants something different, unique, their own. And I like to think we deliver on that. Occasionally, though, someone wants something really really different. This project was one of those. I was challenged in so many ways with this project and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Scroll through to see my dirty hands juuust after I finished setting, grinding, and the first full polish of these alternative commitment bands. I hand cut these teeny tiny rhodonite, chrysocolla, and willow jasper stones and set into 14k yellow gold and bronze with little black diamond flush set detail on the side. Jen and Alejandro, you know this already, but I adored working with you on this project and making these rings for you.
