New drop including this Shore Shirt in “Bootleg Block”. The design is inspired by the fabrics and products found across India, made by artisans, then printed with western business names as decoration. We’ve seen “Versace” handloom, handmade “Google” sandals and even “Adidas” serving bowls. Here’s our take, interpreted by one of the block printing families we work with here✌

This thing is printed with such a strange and beautiful method. First, the pattern is printed onto the fabric with mud which is then sun-baked to set and shield those bits from the dye. Once it’s set the fabric is hand dyed in the khaki green colour and sun dried again. Lastly, the fabric is given a wash and a bloody good beating to get all the mud out - revealing the artwork in the original fabric colour beneath.
