“Everybody’s got there reason everybody’s got there way we’re just catching and releasing what builds up throughout the day and it gets into your body and it flows right through your blood we can tell each other secrets and remember how to love “
Matt Simons I love this song it says so much about our day to day.look it up if you haven’t heard it “Catch and Release “ Some days we need to reflect inward slow down and process where we are. In order to move forward we have to let go of the past. It doesn’t mean to forget , because we never do .In life and in all the things there is a beginning a middle and an end .When the pace of life starts going too fast I have to reflect inward and slow down. The summer is a perfect time to slow down , to reflect and then let go of what doesn’t serve us any more. Being out in nature feeling the grass between our toes , gazing at the sun or moon , moving body with breath , quiet meditation, these are all ways to help us focus on the here and now . What do you do to remain present ? to stop the conversations about the past ?
I thought these pictures were interesting because I was blending in to the quiet of the painting behind me . I catch and release as I move through my day , and try to maintain a positive attitude so I can always remember how to live and love

TIME LAPSE TIME! No. 2 of 7 .
.
I’ll be re-releasing this week. It was my second go at a time lapse too! Filmed in December 2017. While we traveled north to visit family for the holidays, I left this little plant scene at home in Portland hoping for the best.
I was hoping to capture the unfurling maranta leaf (see it there in the middle) and I knew these beauties danced each night, but until I saw this, I had no idea how much!
This clip always reminds me of marine turtles swimming gracefully through the ocean.
Once again, I did this with an iPhone 6s, propped up on a tripod with an LED light set on low. (ALL of my feed is captured with an iPhone camera)
Hope it brings you all a big smile too!! Cheers #timelapse
Public service announcement:
Ugh! Whatever you do, do not go to the French Alps! All you can see for miles around are the staggering, crystalline and granite mountains. The air is way too pure for us sinners, and the glacial waters of the lakes below are this haughty, milky-turquoise. It’s offensive and we haven’t even mentioned that the alpine cows wear actual cow bells around their necks and when you sit out on your deck *trying* to enjoy a beer after a tough day of parenting (that part is genuine), all you can hear are the crickets and the distant clanging of the bells. Gross!

Being at the end of my 4th semester it came to me, more than ever, that unfortunately, studying at university is mostly about rushing through topics, authors and periods without getting the chance to meditate and fully understand the essence of what one has learned. Instead, you reproduce a superficial knowledge, which you immediately forget after you exam. One doesn't study for themselves and certainly not for life. And while I know that this must appear very idealistic, I feel very unsatisfied with my current study situation. I'm not a brilliant mind, but I'm not doing bad either, also, I don't know how others feel about this or they just accept that this is the system, they submit and obey, and university is just like any other situation in life that you have to go through, hoping for better days to come and finally find some fulfillment.
Also, some people go to med school, they definitely suffer more than I do, but I'm still questioning the way I study. Lately, I found myself telling others that I don't really care about university, it's a thing I do, which is a sad truth. Isn't it strange that I find so few joy in going to uni? Because in the end it is a privilege. My unhappiness does not come from the place that I dislike the subjects I choose to study, on the contrary, I really want to dig deeper into them, but there's no time for such in my seminar. It's studying without learning. There's this urge inside of me to finish my Aristotle's lecture in my free time and go beyond the mandatory chapters.
Things won't change, I need to finish my bachelor's in 6 semesters since I very much rely on my financial support via Bafög (which is a federal regulated student loan), it's just that there must be a way of making the most of your university years.

This weekend I went up to Amish country with my mother in law to pick out some fabric to make some skirts and aprons. We had such a lovely time flying down back roads that seemed to cut straight through quaint pasture and prairie. Visiting Amish country always fills me with such wonder.
I'm so looking forward to setting up a sewing and writing area upstairs soon and putting my ideas into action!

[ENG]⬇️ Biorę trzy głębokie wdechy i ruszam dalej! [ENG]➡️ Taking three deep breaths, and off I go again! I have barely managed to chill out from yesterday’s amazing book promo event, and here I am back on the go! This time it will be another place to slow down, and no, it’s not my cabin! Stay tuned, whilst I am off to do some packing.

More cool things to see in Russia: Fabergé Museum in Saint Petersburg. The museum is located at Naryshkin-Shuvalov Palace, so in addition to being able to see the famous Imperial Easter eggs created for the last two Russian Tsars, you will also enjoy breathtaking interiors of the palace and imagine living like some of the bougiest Russian nobles of that era.
