To my daughters and my son: I talk about schoolwork, grades, sports, friends, music, chores, and other daily tasks. But the ONLY thing I care about is teaching you to have good character. We volunteer because it’s important to give back to the community that supports us. I keep my from door open so friends can come and go. I ask questions and listen to your thoughts and feelings. I try to teach you empathy and to look at a situation from the other person’s perspective. Even when you do all of that, some people won’t like you. And that’s okay because they’re not your people. Just be kind and move on. There’s nothing to be gained from rolling around in the mud with haters. Trust me; I’ve made that mistake for all of us! Be kind and your integrity will remain intact. I couldn’t be prouder of the three of you. I love you. ❤️
FOLLOW my girl @mommyneedsamarg who always says what I’m thinking. You’ll love her! @mommyneedsamarg thanks for giving me the right words to say to my kids. ❤️

Did a thing last week & holy moly it feels good!
•
I’ve always had long hair, with the exception of the one time I chopped it in high school & instantly regretted it. I lost a ton of hair after my diagnosis & then even more postpartum, so I finally decided enough was enough & needed a change.

Almost 10 inches chopped & on its way to @cwhl_org while I bask in the glory of low maintenance hair (and not finding globs of it all over the floor/shower/son’s hand/etc )
