9 апреля #изкосмоса в 2010 году американские астронавты @astronaut_rick и @astro_clay вышли в открытый космос для выполнения работ по обслуживанию на @iss системы охлаждения, системы навигации и снятия экспериментальных образцов с наружной поверхности японского научного модуля. Астронавты пробыли в открытом космосе 06 ч 27 мин. Для американских скафандров это предел автономной работы, в то время, как наши «Орланы» рассчитаны на 7-9 часов. В принципе ничего необычного, но все ли так просто? Подготовка к выходу начинается за 2-3 недели! Нужно проверить и подготовить скафандры, подготовить станцию, проверить систему жизнеобеспечения, собрать и разложить весь необходимый инструмент. Перед самим выходом в скафандре нужно понизить давление до 0,4 атмосфер и создать кислородную атмосферу, чтобы космонавты смогли двигаться за бортом. Только на это уходит по несколько часов до выхода и столько же после. Кстати, на МКС есть модуль «Квест», который обеспечивает воздушную среду с пониженным содержанием азота, в которой космонавты могут даже «ночевать» перед выходом в открытый космос.
